Paul was born in Warden in the Free State, 1970. He attended Warden Primary School, and Matriculated at Fiksburg Technical High School. As a child his favorite past time was creating clay farm animals, and carving of wooden ships.

After his National Defense Service in Bethlehem and the Air force, he qualified as a fitter and tuner, and was later the owner of a plumbing business in Pretoria. During this time he created a couple of sculptures in which his talent was acknowledged, “but sculpturing was not a way to make a living”.

His love for photography started when he photographed the sculptures he made, and after completing a Advanced photography course he travelled to New-Zeeland, Kosovo and Europe. On his return to South Africa he did extensive photography work. It didn’t take long before he was loved and known in the Pretoria Modeling and Fashion industry in which he acted as the official photographer for Miss Tuks Rag, Mrs. South Africa 2008, and is currently the official photographer for Mr. SA 2009.

His sculpture career became a more serious when he was given the opportunity to do the Bronze Head of Mr. Hans Moore, for Hans Moore High School.

Recently he finished a project for “Journey of Hope” in which he made four sculptures to display the “Journey of Breast Cancer Victims”. This sculpture was donated to “Journey of Hope” to raise funds for Journey of Hope Breast Cancer Ride

Each sculpture is born out of the passion to create, and capture a moment in time. A love for nature and people is the basis for all the sculptures.

My motto in life is: “Chase your dreams, and you may be surprised by where they lead you
